PSC DEPLOYS STAFF TO MONITOR POLICE CONDUCT IN ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has deployed staff monitors to the three senatorial zones of Anambra State to oversee police conduct during the governorship election on Saturday.
This is contained in a statement issued by Head, Press and Public Relations,Ikechukwu Ani in Kano on Thursday.
PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), has warned police officers on electoral duties to remain impartial and disciplined, ensuring the protection of electoral officers and materials.
He directed officers to create a conducive environment for voters, adding that those who compromise their rules of engagement will face sanctions.
Argungu said the Anambra election is a test case for the police as the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections.
