Kano, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has commiserated with the family of late Alhaji Wada Sinkin, who died on Saturday after a protracted illness.
He was 85 years old.
Yusuf said this in a statement by his Director-General, Media and Publicity, Mr Bature Tofa in Kano on Monday.
He described the death as shocking and devastating, considering the contributions of the deceased in the socio-economic development not only of his constituency but the state in general.
” We received the news with shock but with total submission to the will of Allah. Sinkin fought bravely for the emancipation of the common man and was a philanthropist.
” He was a successful business man of international repute, an honest and hardworking contractor, a respected elder statesman, and a philanthropist with sympathetic heart whose death created a wide vacuum difficult to fill.
” On behalf of the government and people of Kano state, I extend our deepest condolences to the family of late Wada Sinkin, and pray to Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest and grant him the exalted Jannah.”he said.
