The Kano State Ministry of Education has denied reports circulating on social media regarding a plan to recruit 3,917 teachers under the “Kano State Government Basic Education Teachers Mapping and Recruitment Plan (2025–2028)”.
According to a statement issued by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, Director Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Education Kano, the ministry described the announcement as “misleading and baseless”, advising the public to disregard the information.
The ministry clarified that it has not made any official announcement concerning teacher recruitment, urging the general public to verify information through official channels to avoid misinformation.
The statement warned against reliance on unverified sources particularly on sensitive issues like teacher recruitment, aiming to clarify the situation and prevent potential confusion or misinformation among the public.
