Emir Sanusi invites Foreign Investors for Nigeria

The Emir of Kano Mohammadu sunusi  11 made a strong case for Nigeria, urging potential investors to capitalize on the country’s enabling economic environment, particularly in key sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, ICT, innovation, and finance.

He cited Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, as a prime example of the rewards of investing in Nigeria, highlighting how Dangote’s confidence in the Nigerian economy contributed to his success. 

The Emir presented Dangote as a model for investing in Nigeria.

The Emir also made a strong case for investing in Kano, emphasizing the state’s socio-economic and natural advantages. 

These include a large market of 22 million people, abundant natural resources, a strategic location, and well-established international markets that serve many countries in West and Central Africa and beyond. 

The Dawanau grains market, which exports grains worldwide, was highlighted as a significant asset. Additionally, the Emir noted the incentives provided by the Kano State Government, particularly those aimed at easing the doing of business.

The Emir concluded that the Kano economy offers numerous opportunities for shrewd foreign investors, with multiple areas of comparative advantage that make it an attractive investment destination. 

The side meeting was also attended by the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Mohammed, Hon. Minister of Women Affairs, Haj. Imaan Suleiman, Amb. Bolaji, representing the Hon. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu and DG of NEPZA. 

The conference continues into its second day.
