Makoda Charges Private Schools to Adhere to Regulations

Kano State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has urged proprietors of private schools to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations governing private school operations.
He emphasized the need for collaboration with the State Private and Voluntary Schools Institutions Board to achieve quality education.
Makoda called on private school owners to work closely with the regulatory boar.
He assured government support to address challenges, including multiple taxation.
The administration is developing policies to provide a conducive learning environment for both public and private institutions.
Over 800,000 public schools received learning and instructional materials.
789,000 school uniforms distributed to pupils in 7,092 public schools.
The government is committed to working with individuals or groups to enhance the education sector.
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools highlighted areas needing government support, including permanent office accommodation and addressing multiple taxation.
Commended the Governor’s historic budget allocation to the education sector, describing it as a record for educational development in Kano.
