Customs Trains Stakeholders on B’Odogwu Clearance System

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Kano/Jigawa Command has launched a training program for stakeholders on the B’Odogwu clearance system, aimed at enhancing trade efficiency and facilitating faster clearance processes. 

The training is part of the ongoing e-Customs modernization project, led by Comptroller-General Bashir Adeniyi [1).

Comptroller Dalhat Abubakar emphasized the significance of the B’Odogwu system, describing it as an indigenous and national initiative that marks a historic milestone for Nigeria’s trade environment. 

He warned that terminal operators not linked to the system would be unable to operate in the country and stressed the importance of onboarding licenses to ensure seamless access.

Single National Entry Window*: Achieving a unified platform for trade processes

The NCS has commenced training for terminal operators, shippers, traders, and licensed agents to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.

Over 16,000 declarations have been made on the B’Odogwu system since its introduction in January 2025.
