NNPP welcomes 963 defectors from APC in Kano State

Kano, The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has welcomed the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Dala Local Government Area, Alhaji Baba Sabiu along with over 963 supporters to the ruling party in the state.
The defectors, including immediate past councilors and their supporters from 12 wards, cited selfish leadership by Governor Abba Yusuf as the reason for their departure.
Dala assured that the people of Dala lauded Governor Yusuf’s exemplary leadership in providing democracy dividends in the state.
However, he emphasized the need for progressive change, stating, “We decided to join this people’s house with over 963 from 12 wards of Dala LGA to joint the ruling party.
The defectors pledged to work together towards winning the October 26 local government elections.
Senator Kwankwaso, while welcoming the new members, reassured them that they are equal with all existing party members.
He emphasized NNPP’s commitment to salvaging the country come 2027, paving the way for socioeconomic and political growth.
Kwankwaso urged supporters to come out en masse and cast their votes for NNPP candidates in the upcoming local government elections.
He said that the party is embracing inclusivity and growth, welcoming all Kano residents and Nigerians to join forces in driving the country forward.
He explained that the party’s commitment to propel Nigeria to greater heights.
