Niger Gov. Urges traders to Vacates Market on Suleja-Madala Road

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has ordered that anyone found selling along the Suleja-Madala road should vacate or to be arrested and prosecuted for breaking the law.

Governor Bago gave this instruction as his second executive order upon assumption of office.

The Governor, who insisted the road is no longer a trading post or market centre for anyone further maintained thet cars parked along the road would equally be impounded to serve as deterrence to others.

He reiterated that the goal was to ensure undisturbed traffic flow along the Suleja-Abuja highway where the market is situated over the years that has claimed lives and properties of the marketers and motorists

He also revealed that while plans are underway to relocate the market to a safer nearby location, while traders and business people should not be allowed to endanger their lives by plying their wares along the expressway.
