Niger Police Arrests 4 persons In Connection to Restiveness in Minna

Niger State Police Command has arrested no fewer than four persons in connection with the recent youth restiveness within Minna and environs.
The command Public Relations Officer, PPRO DSP Wasiu Abiodun said they were arrested in two locations of Morris and Stadium road and are under interrogation for prosecution in no distance time.
Abiodun added that police personnel have been deployed to the identified black spot areas to curb the menace of hoodlums in Minna and environs.
However, residents of Minna metropolis and environs have lamented over the incessant attacks by the youths on the people and communities leaving many injured and properties destroyed.
Youths in their groups have continued to unleashed havoc on the innocent citizens in various streets of Minna like Barkin Sale to Kpakungu, Stadium road, Limawa and Mobile roundabout among others.
Reports revealed that due to the current attacks many people were injured, maimed, harassed and intimidated while properties destroyed just as people lost their properties to the looters who used the advantage for looting.
According to findings, the well coordinated youth groups who are identified as political thugs usually came out for operations without the required counter attack from the security operatives appropriately.
The restive youths usually blocked major roads and streets carrying different dangerous weapons making it difficult for the motorists and road users for movement while carrying out their mission which took time for security men to over the menace.
A resident Malam Ibrahim Abdullahi in an interview called on the government and security agencies especially the Nigerian Police to do the needful before it get out of hands, while urging the parents to step up their parenthood or face the wrath of the law.
