Sen. Nnamani Denies Alleged Apology to Peter Obi, Describes Claim as Fabrication

Former Governor of Enugu State and serving Senator, Chimaroke Nnamani, has firmly denied reports circulating in the media and across social platforms alleging that he apologised to the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, over purported past remarks.
In a press statement issued by his Media Office on Wednesday, Senator Nnamani described the claim as “entirely false, misleading and a deliberate act of misinformation,” stressing that at no time did he, either publicly or privately, issue any apology to Mr Obi or make the statements being attributed to him.
According to the statement, the alleged apology is a complete fabrication designed to mislead the public and promote what it described as an imagined political narrative.
The former governor cautioned members of the public against falling for what he termed a concocted story aimed at dragging his name into needless controversy.
Senator Nnamani reiterated that he has always spoken forthrightly on political issues and remains consistent with his views and past statements.
He emphasised that he does not engage in political revisionism, nor does he apologise for exercising his right to free expression within the confines of democratic engagement.
The statement further urged the public to disregard the false report in its entirety, while calling on those behind the misinformation to desist from spreading propaganda and outright falsehoods
