Plateau State Govt Commends NAWOJ for Advocacy Efforts

Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, has praised the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Plateau State Chapter, for its tireless efforts in advocating for women and children.

Plateau State Ministry of Information and Communication,Mary Rwang on Thursday. 

The Commissioner described NAWOJ as a vital voice in shaping a more inclusive society during a courtesy visit by the association’s executives to her office in Jos.

The Ministry of Information and Communication agreed to partner with NAWOJ on initiatives promoting gender equity, child protection, and capacity building.

Planned initiatives include public awareness campaigns and training programs designed to uplift and empower vulnerable women and children across Plateau State.

Hon. Ramnap emphasized the importance of media in driving change, stating, “The work NAWOJ is doing is not just journalism; it is service to humanity.”

The association’s Chairperson, Grace Akwe Gotip, highlighted NAWOJ’s commitment to promoting gender equity and protecting vulnerable groups through media-driven interventions.
