Eid-el-Fitr

The 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has canceled the Eid-el-Fitr Durbar celebration due to security concerns.
This decision was announced during a press briefing at his Nasarawa Mini palace in Kano.
Emir Bayero emphasized that maintaining peace and harmony among the people is more important than the celebration.
He was advised by respected Islamic Clerics, elders, stakeholders, and his council members to cancel the event to ensure peace.
Instead, the Emir encouraged the people of Kano to use the Sallah celebration period to visit loved ones and enjoy the festivities in a peaceful atmosphere.
He also prayed for Allah’s blessings and mercy during Ramadan, hoping the people of Kano would receive forgiveness and mercy.
