Kano NUJ Congratulates new commissioner for Information

Kano The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano state chapter, has congratulated Baba Halilu Dantiye over his appointment as the new Kano State Commissioner of information.
The congratulatory letter conveyed to the Commissioner was jointly signed by the council chairman and secretary, Comrade Abbas Ibrahim and Comrade Abba Murtala respectively.
According to the statement, the appointment of Dantiye was well deserved in view of his impressive pedigree as a former Editor with Triumph Newspaper, a two-term President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), a former Director General Media, a retired Permanent Secretary, and a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (mni).
The NUJ expressed. the hope that the new Commissioner would carry along all working journalists in the state in the discharge of all important tasks ahead.
“As a professional colleagues, we pledge to give you all necessary support, and cooperation and show understanding to enable you succeed in the attainment of the noble objective, ” the statement added.
They assured him of their full support to achieve the set objectives and prayed to Allah to give him wisdom, sound health and protection to discharge the assigned duty effectively and efficiently
