Niger Governor Assures to Implement Transition Committee Reports

Niger state Governor Umar Mohammed Bago has assured to carefully study and execute reports of the transition committee which will served as a guide for his administration that will serve with fear of God.

The governor stated this shortly after taking his oath of office and alligence presided over by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik at the trade fair complex in Minna, saying that 90% of his cabinet will be youths

Bago further reiterated his commitment to justify the confidence reposed in him and his vice hence they will not take the mandate for granted, noting that it will not be business as usual but business unusual.

He emphasized that his administration will operate an open door policy, focusing on transparency, accountability and physical discipline in respective of tribe, religion and political differences to enhance the development of the state

The newly sworn in governor presented 13 points agenda his administration will focus on, acknowledging that a glorious new chapter has been open and it is a social contract for a Renew Niger.

The Governor will focus on include security, education, Agriculture, Commerce, Tourism, Civil Service, Health, Water , Electricity, Transportation, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Youths and women priority, to complete ongoing 3 arms zone and to involved traditional leaders in governance among others.

The outgoing governor Abubakar Sani Bello was represented by his deputy Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso at the swearing in ceremony attended by former governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, former house of representatives speaker, Yakubu Dogara among other dignitaries across the country.
