Dawanau Grains Market Boosts Security with 800 Personnel to Foil Hoodlums

Kano, The management of Dawanau Grains International Market Association in Dawan Toda Local Government Area has taken a significant step to enhance security by engaging over 800 security personnel.

The President of the Market,Alhaji Muntaka Isa, stated that this measure will effectively safeguard the market against hoodlums.

Isa highlighted the proactive presence of the Nigerian Army, Police, and state security agencies, which has bolstered the market’s security. 

He noted that over 400 vigilantes are complementing the efforts of the security personnel to protect the market.

The market has been targeted by hoodlums from neighboring areas, including Kurnan Asabe and Bachirawa, who have attempted to forcefully enter and steal food items. 

To counter this, the market has hired 400 vigilantes to work alongside the security agencies.

The market management has pledged to continue supporting the security personnel deployed to safeguard public buildings against vandalism.

Isa appealed to the neighboring community to assist security personnel by providing information on the movement of hoodlums, ensuring the safety and security of the market and its stakeholders.
