By Ahmed Mohammad Kano
Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has issued an executive order giving property owners in Kwankwasiyya, Amana, and Bandirawo cities a three-month ultimatum to occupy their properties or risk revocation.
This directive aims to develop the state and ensure the cities thrive, as envisioned by their establishment ¹.
Governor Yusuf emphasized the importance of occupying these properties, urging those unable to relocate to consider renting them out.
He highlighted the government’s commitment to providing necessary infrastructure, including roads, water, and 24-hour electricity, to support the cities’ growth.
To bring the government closer to the people, the State Ministry of Housing Development will occupy the current Housing Corporation headquarters, while the Corporation will be relocated to Kwankwasiyya City.
The Governor’s Lodge is already situated in Kwankwasiyya, and Governor Yusuf encouraged property owners to reach out to him directly with any complaints.
