GOV. YUSUF MOURNS DEATH OF HAJIA MAIRO HALLIRU

Kano, Nov. 3, 2026 ,Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajia Mairo Halliru, a Director at the Kano State Ministry of Women Affairs, who passed away on Tuesday.

The governor described her death as a painful loss to the state civil service, particularly the Ministry of Women Affairs, where she served with dedication and commitment.

Yusuf acknowledged the late Halliru’s contributions to public service and her role in advancing the responsibilities of the ministry.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues, friends and associates, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The governor prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus and make her good deeds a source of eternal reward.
