Inauguration : unprecedented Crowd Throng Abba Swearing In Kano

Kano, Thousands of unprecedented supporters of New Nigeria People’s Party ( NNPP) supporters thronged Sani Abacha Stadium to witnessed the Swearing In of the 19th Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, elected under the platform of NNPP.

Gov.Abba Yusuf was sword in by the state Chief Judge Justice Dije Aboki.

The convoy of the sworn in Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, had to delayed for about two hours in a just one kilometer journey from Government House to the Stadium.

Residents from all the local government throng in thousand to witness the swearing ceremony of the governor.

Speaking, Abba Kabir Yusuf, said that, “today is the actualization of the Will of the Kano People’s in full actions as the confirmation of their mandate which they unanimously gifts to Us”.

Abba, expressed gratitude to the Kano People’s who after snatching his victory in 2019 still stood by him to ensure the justification of their votes.

The New Governor of Kano, said he will do all he could to salvage the decaying state of the State, adding, “I’m aware of the pain and agony you endured in the last eight years.

” We will carefully study the reports from the immediate past administration and we will soon come out with the next line of action”,he said .

The National Leader of the NNPP, Sen.Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, five Emirs of Rano, Karaye, Bichi, and Gaya,Sen.Elect Kawu Sumaila ,House of Representatives members elect as well as party leaders were present at the Inauguration ceremony.

Meanwhile some residents Kano residents have begun setting agenda for the newly inaugurated Governor, Abba Yusuf who took the oath of office at the Sani Abacha stadium on Monday.

Yusuf, who contested the 2023 Kano gubernatorial election under the New Nigeria People’s Party ( NNPP) Lwas declared winner of the election.

The residents who spoke to NAN in separate interviews urged Yusuf to declare a state of emergency on the provision of portable drinking water in and out side the metropolis.

Alhaji Abubakar Usam, a resident of Gwale local Government Area told NAN that provision of good drinking water would promote health among residents.

We have so far too much in the hand of the immediate past administration due to the scarcity of portable drinking water for both human and animal consumption.

Yusuf also want the incoming administration provide assorted farming implement to enhance food production.

Hajiya Rabi Musa from Tudun Wada Local Government Area appeal to the incoming administration to provide conducive atmosphere for learning in public schools.

Residents in Kano metropolis , halted business activities on Monday to attend the inauguration of the newly-elected Governor, Abba Yusuf .

Musa said a situation where pupils received lectures on a bear floor has negative effect to the development of education.

” We expect total overhauling of our educational sector through provision of basic learning facilities as well as train manpower to ensure qualitative and sound education for our children.

Alhaji Isa Musa a resident , of Dakata Quarters of Nasarawa LGA want the incoming administration address the issue of job creation for the teaming unemployed youth in the state.

Musa advised the incoming administration to set up skill

Skill acquisition centres across the 44 LGAs to train youth and women into various trades to enable them be self reliant.

He said that it was only by so doing that youth will be able to contribute positively towards nation building.
