Yusuf Announces Plan to Solarize 200 Kano Schools, Equip with Computers

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative to solarize 200 public schools and provide each with 250 computers under the World Bank-supported AGILE Project.

This effort aims to modernize the education sector and bridge the digital divide in the state.

The Governor made the announcement during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of instructional materials to schools in Kano.

He explained that the solar power installation will ensure stable electricity, creating an ideal environment for digital learning.

The computers will enhance access to technology and improve education quality for thousands of students.

“Our goal is to bridge the digital divide and ensure our students are not left behind in this era of technological advancement,” Governor Yusuf said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to transforming education through infrastructure and innovation.
