Kwankwaso Reintegrates Sumaila’s Supporters into NNPP, Kwankwasiyya Movement

Hundreds of supporters of Senator Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), have declined to follow him and instead returned to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

The group, led by Muntari Ibrahim Faruruwa, was received by the leader of the Kwankwasiyya political movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his residence in Kano.

The supporters, from Takai Local Government Area, informed Senator Kwankwaso that they refused to join the APC with Senator Sumaila, citing their commitment to the ideals of the Kwankwasiyya movement and the NNPP.

They expressed their desire to contribute to the development of Kano State and propagate the movement’s ideals.

Senator Kwankwaso welcomed the returnees and congratulated them on their decision.

He emphasized that the Kwankwasiyya movement is about empowering people, especially youths and women, through education and other means to enable them to become self-reliant and develop themselves and society.

He prayed that other members who had left the movement would return home to contribute to the progress and development of Kwankwasiyya and Kano State.

Senator Rufa’i Sani Hanga, NNPP Kano Central, described Senator Kwankwaso as a progressive leader who had always championed the upliftment of ordinary people.

He congratulated the former Senator Sumaila supporters for taking the wise decision to return to the Kwankwasiyya movement and the NNPP fold.

The reintegration of Senator Sumaila’s supporters into the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya movement is seen as a boost to the party’s strength and morale in Kano State.

The move demonstrates the party’s commitment to its ideals and its willingness to welcome back members who share its vision for the state and the country.
