KNSG to partner with DOGA to boost girls child education

Kano, Jan. Kano State Government is set to partner with the Dala Old Girls Association Class ’89 (DOGA) towards the promotion of girls child education in the state.

Dr.Yusuf Kofar Mata, Commissioner for Higher Education, disclosed this while receiving Hajiya Amina Muhammad, DOGA Class ’89 Chairperson,along the executive members of the association in his office.

This is contained in a statement issued by Chief Information Officer, Ministry for Higher Education,Sunusi Kofar Na’Isa on Saturday.

He said that the Ministry for Higher Education would collaborate with the Dala Old Girls Association Class ’89 (DOGA) to support government efforts in promoting girls child education in the state.

He commended the association for their contribution to educational development in the state.

” I have taken time to notice and monitor your activities and programmes, such as the provision of learning materials, classroom furniture, and building of classrooms, among others,” Kofarmata said.

He explained that based on the association’s track record, the government would collaborate with the association to ensure massive enrollment of girl child education in the state.

The commissioner assured them of all necessary support in that direction, thanked them for the visit, and promised to keep his door open for critical suggestions.

Earlier,Hajiya Muhammad, ‘said that they were at the commissioner’s ministry office to congratulate governor Yusuf through the commissioner for reclaiming the people’s mandate in the Supreme Court victory.

She expressed their unflinching support for government policies and programmes, especially in education, urging the government to redouble its efforts in that direction.
