CP urges security agencies to leverage Technology against emerging threats”

Kano, The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Usaini Gumel, has emphasized the importance of utilizing technology and innovative solutions to combat emerging security threats in Nigeria.

Speaking at the 14th Zonal Security Conference for State Directors of Security in the Northwest geopolitical zone.

Gumel stressed the need for inter-agency collaboration and information sharing to address the evolving security challenges in the region.

The conference, which brought together security agencies from across the Northwest zone, aimed to facilitate operational and intelligence sharing synergy among State Security Directors.

The Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi, initiated the conference to tackle the new security challenges facing the region and the nation.

Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State appealed to security agencies to dig deeper and uncover the roots of insecurity, using intelligence data gathering to locate and apprehend those responsible for attacks on innocent lives.

He emphasized the need for collective efforts to bring total peace to the citizens and ensure political stability.

The conference featured keynote presentations, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among security agencies.

The event aimed to strengthen the collective resolve to safeguard lives and properties in the Northwest geopolitical zone.
