CP Gumel tasks Mobile Police to demonstrate professionalism

Kano, The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Mr Mohammed Gumel, has tasked the 90 Police Mobile Force (PMF) trained at Challawa to exhibit high sense of professionalism in the discharge of their primary assignments.
Gumel spoke at the graduation ceremony of 90 mobile police officers combat training organised by 52 PMF Challawa Base Squadron.
This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, on Wednesday in Kano.
Gumel said: “The Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of IG-P Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, is committed to training and retraining of its personnel to ensure optimal performance.”
He assured that the command would continue to ensure its personnel received the best of training to meet the demands of residents.
“I therefore charged you to utilise the training received and use it to enhance better service delivery accordingly to the laid down ethics of the force and in line with international best practices,” he said.
The commissioner of police lauded the efforts of a philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Ahmed, for rehabilitating a 30-bed capacity clinic with modern health facilities.
Earlier, the Commanding Officer, No. 52 PMF Kano, ACP Danlami Yusuf, stated that during the three weeks of regimental local training, 90 personnel were rigorously trained in weapon handling, musketry, crowd control, care and custody of firearms.
Yusuf explained that the officers were also lectured on human rights, the Code of Conduct for police officers, use of force by law enforcement officers and general discipline, among others.
