Kano, The President of National Patriotic Elders Forum of Nigeria, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, has described those calling for the suspension of the swearing of President-Elect Senator Bola Tinubu, on May 29 as ignorant of the Law.
AbdulAziz, told news men in Kano on Sunday ” I understand some people’s are apart from the provisions of the Nigeria Constitution and the Law, because they are so ignorantly speaking about issues that, one in they are in the Court and also matters that has been explained clearly by the Law.
” Calling for the suspension of the swearing In of the President-Elect beyond May 29 is like calling for an anarchy, because Nigeria would be without Government, than the country would becomes a norman lands.
” I am worried that some people are hellbent in causing uncertainties in the country for reason best known to them.
” Why are you calling for the suspension of the swearing In, what you are asking for has position in the law, or in the Nigeria history. What are you up to, Did somebody sponsored you to caused mayhem”,he asked..
AbdulAziz, recalls the recent happenings in Pakistan where the Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested in a day broad light raiding on him, “but because the Nation is a respecter of the law when a Court rules for his immediate release without hesitation he was released”.
“Therefore, Nigerians should take a queue from that, the issues of the elections matters are before the Court and the constitution do provide that even though the President-Elect or Governor-Elect or who so ever can be still be given an Oath of office while the matter drag’s at the court.
“So why are some people killing themselves in the names of trying to stop the swearing In, this is baseless.
