Eid-el-fitr: Sokoto Governor- elect seeks prayers, sustenance of lessons of Ramadan

The Sokoto State Governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, FCNA, has appealed to the Muslim Ummah to continue with the good lessons learnt from the just-concluded Ramadan fast.
This is contained in his sallah massage to the Muslim faithfuls in the State following the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.
Alhaji Aliyu charged the Muslim faithfuls to continue with all the goods deeds demonstrated during the month-long fasting period.
“We have seen some examplary qualities such as patience, togetherness,kindnes,llove, as well as care for the have-nots and the vulnerables which the Muslims had genuinely demonstrated during the just-concluded Ramadan fast.
“All these are qualities that the Ummah should sustain during and after the Ramadan.
“We should also not forget the teachings of our religion and all the dos and dont’s which we were taught from the glorious Qur’an during the various tafseer sessions held across the state,”Aliyu appealed
He further reassured people of the state that religious affairs which are among his areas of priority will receive deserved attention from his administration.
The governor-elect also called on the people of the state to pray fervently for the success of the incoming administration at both federal and state levels.
Alhaji Aliyu also reminded the citizens to continue to pray for the country to surmount the myriad of challenges hindering its smooth development.
According to him, his administration’s 9-point agenda will be vigorously pursued to fast track the needed even development in the state.
He, therefore, solicited the support and cooperation from all and sundry to achieve the set objectives.
The governor-elect also wished the Muslim Ummah a happy eid-el-fitr celebrations.
