Kano,  The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has blamed the ruling New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) government and certain opposition figures for the recent violence in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, Chairman of the APC, and Alhaji Rabi’u  Bichi, Director General of the Tinubu/Shetima Campaign Council,on Thursday in Kano.

The party accused the NNPP government of encouraging violence by inviting protesters to the Government House and making inflammatory comments that undermine police authority.

The APC leaders specifically criticized the governor’s alleged personal vendetta against the state police commissioner and his decision to exploit the situation for political gain.

They also condemned opposition figures like Naja’atu Muhammad for making inciting comments on the planned national protests, emphasizing that leaders should work to reduce tension rather than exacerbate it.

The statement cited the APC National Chairman’s call for dialogue and the wise counsel of Ulamas, leaders of thought, and stakeholders who wish Nigeria well.

The APC concluded that the instigated violence was part of a larger plan to attack the Palace at Gidan Nassarawa, where the Emir of Kano resides.
