Kano, Oct. 3, 2026) Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has called for continued support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yusuf made the call on Saturday while attending this year’s Kadiriyya Maukibi in Kano, which brought together prominent Islamic scholars, political leaders and other dignitaries.
The governor said the gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen unity, peaceful coexistence and support for the leadership of Tinubu.
The event also featured the inauguration of a newly constructed Maukibi platform built by the Kano State Government. The platform was inaugurated by the representative of the president, Ibrahim Masari.
The Director-Generals of APC and ADV presidential campaign councils, former Zamfara Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, and former Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, also attended the Maukibi and delivered remarks respectively.
The Kadiriyya Maukibi attracted religious and political leaders from across the country, alongside thousands of followers of the Qadiriyya order.
