Caption:Governor Yusuf Commends Peaceful Adoption of Bichi Lawmaker as APC Sole Candidate

Kano, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of of kano State has commended the peaceful and seamless adoption of Hon. Abubakar Kabiru Abubakar as the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Bichi Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

Yusuf made the remark on Saturday while addressing political stakeholders from Bichi’s 11 wards during the affirmation event held at Hagagawa Football Pitch, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.

He described the development as a clear demonstration of unity, mutual understanding and political maturity among party stakeholders and aspirants in the constituency.

The governor commended party leaders, elders and aspirants for placing the interest of the party and the people above personal ambitions, saying the collective commitment would strengthen the APC and improve its chances in the election.

Yusuf also praised Hon. Abba Bichi for his contributions to grassroots development and the execution of constituency projects aimed at improving residents’ lives.

He noted that the lawmaker had continued to provide quality representation through development initiatives, empowerment programmes and infrastructure projects across the constituency.

“I must reaffirm my administration’s commitment to support leaders who remain dedicated to the welfare of the people and sustainable development,” he said.

The governor urged party supporters and stakeholders to remain united and continue working for the progress of the APC and the development of Kano State.

The Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Hon. Kabiru Masari, who represented the president at the event, described Abubakar as a courageous and outstanding leader who upholds the dignity of his constituents through effective representation.

In his response, Abubakar thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Yusuf and other stakeholders for supporting his re-election bid for a second term.

He pledged to continue initiating and supporting projects that would enhance the growth and progress of his constituency, Kano State and the country.
