DIG Gumel Takes Helm at Force Intelligence Department

Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Mohammed Usaini Gumel, has assumed duty as the 4th DIG in charge of the Force Intelligence Department (FID), succeeding DIG Benjamin Nebolisa Okolo.
Gumel, a seasoned police officer with over three decades of experience, brings expertise in intelligence-led community policing and public safety. He has held key positions, including Commissioner of Police in Sokoto and Kano, and AIG Zone 7, Abuja [1].
A fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria, Gumel holds an M.Tech in Educational Technology and B.Ed. Islamic Studies. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
