NIPR President lauds Yusuf for people-centered governance initiatives

Kano, The President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr Ike Neliaku, has lauded Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State for his exceptional commitment to people-oriented projects and inclusive governance.
This commendation followed an inspection visit by the NIPR Governing Council on Tuesday to assess Yusuf’s suitability for investiture as a Patron of the professional body, according to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.
The NIPR delegation visited key projects’ sites showcasing infrastructure renewal, community development and economic empowerment including the Dan Agundi Flyover, Bulbula Erosion Control Project.
Other areas inspected were Kwankwasiyya City housing estate, Gwarzo Garment Centre vocational training facility and Challawa/Goje Dama 6-megawatt power plant.
Neliaku expressed satisfaction with project pace and quality, stating that the initiatives transcended physical infrastructure, emphasising social inclusion and community ownership aligning with public relations core principles of building mutually beneficial relationships.
“We are impressed by Gov. Yusuf’s dedication to projects impacting citizens making them active participants in progress,” Neliaku stated.
NIPR would consider.the findinga of the inspection as the determining factor for Yusuf’s formal investiture as the Institute’s Patron, recognising leaders upholding transparency, accountability and citizen engagement.
The visit underscored NIPR’s commitment to recognising leaders promoting these values.
