Gov Yusuf urges pilgrims to pray for Peace while in the holy land

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State on Monday urged pilgrims to offer prayers for the well-being of the country when they get to Saudi Arabia.

Yusuf spoke while addressing the first batch of the intending pilgrims before their departure to the holy land .

The acknowledged the current period of swearing-in and inauguration for representative governments at both the federal and state levels, emphasising the crucial need for prayers.

Additionally, he encouraged the intending pilgrims to pray for fervently for the present administration to succeed bot at State and at federal level .

I want to on behalf of the Government and good people of Kano state urge you to be good ambassadors of the state and you should distance your selves from all forms of criminalities like drugs trafficking, armed robbery, protest and other social vices”. The Governor echoed.

The Governor urged the intending pilgrims to strictly adhere to the rites of performing hajj and pray fervently in their stay at the holy land for continuous peace and stability in Kano in particular and Nigeria in general.

Earlier, the director general of Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board(KSPWB), Alhaji Lamin Rabiu said the first batch of the pilgrims were drawn from Tudun Wada, Doguwa, Bebeji and Garun Malam local governments were part of last hajj session’s who could not perform the hajj due to shortage of aircrafts.

Rabiu appreciated the prompt response of His Excellency the Governor in creating conducive atmosphere for the intending pilgrims from the state to perform the pilgrimage engagements with ease.
