Acting SSG,perm secs, directors lead sanitation exercise at Audu Bako secretariat complex

Kano, Dec.7,2023 ( NAN) The Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, on Thursday, engaged civil servants at the Audu Bako secretariat on a sanitation exercise within the secretariat complex.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director of Environment and Climate Change, Mr Ismail Gwammaja, on Thursday in Kano.
The News Agency of Nigeria NAN reports that Audu Bako Secretariat, named after the first Military Governor of the State, Commissioner of Police, Audu Bako, houses most Ministries and parastatals in Kano, including the Court of Appeal and other judicial facilities.
Musa who is also the Head of Service urged civil servants to ensure adequate sanitation of their working environment.
The Acting Secretary to State Government expressed dissatisfaction over the dirts and waste littered around and within the Secretariat complex, stressed the need for civil servants to always keep their offices clean.
According to him, “the present administration is committed and desirous to issues relating to environmental sanitation.
This is part of the fundamental agenda of Governor Yusuf of Kano State.
Musa all permanent secretaries and heads of agencies within the Secretariat to ensure compliance at their respective MDAs, in consideration of the facts that Audu Bako Secretariat is an epicentre for all workers and visitors that may come to the state, as well as, accommodating large number of the civil servants in the state.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Mr Yakubu AGaro, commended the Acting SSG, for taking the bull by the horns in supporting the ministry’s mandate to ensure a clean and safe environment, devoid of waste
