KNSG earmarks N4.8bn for dev’t projects in 44 LGAs

Kano, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State says his administration has earmarked N4.8billion for the execution of various developmental projects in the 44 local governments of the state.
He has also announced plans to engage with Supervisory Councillors and Advisers to strengthen local governance and ensure that development projects align with the people’s needs.
The Governor made the announcement when he hosted the Forum of Supervisory Councillors and Advisers from the 44 local government areas of the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa in Kano on Thursday.
He acknowledged the critical role of supervisory councillors and advisers in ensuring effective implementation of development projects and policies that respond to the people’s needs.
Earlier ,the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Zaura, expressed optimism about Yusuf’s return in 2027, citing his unprecedented achievements and positive transformation of the state.
The State Chairperson of ALGON, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yusha’u, commended the governor’s exemplary leadership and assured continued support for the betterment of Kano.
The forum’s Chairman, Hudu Takai, said it was established to support the state government in implementing its policies and programmes.
The forum conferred an Award of Excellence on the governor and unveiled a project, ‘Abba Keep Moving’.
