Independence Day: Kano Gov Condemns CP’s Absence from Parade, Calls for Unity

Kano, Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has stressed the importance of unity among Nigerians and called for peace, professionalism, and national cohesion during the state’s 65th Independence Day celebration.

However, Governor Yusuf condemned the absence of the Kano State Commissioner of Police and his personnel from the parade, describing the decision as unacceptable and a disservice to the people of Kano. 

He announced plans to submit a formal petition to the federal authorities, calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take swift action.

The governor thanked other security agencies in the state for their participation and professionalism, assuring them of continued government support.
