Police arrest 3 for alleged impersonation, fraud in Kano

Kano, The Police Command, Kano State, has arrested three suspects for impersonating security personnel and defrauding a victim of ₦1 million.
This is contained in a statement by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, on Thursday in Kano.
According to him, the suspects, Nasiru Adamu, Yusuf Sani, and Aliyu Yusuf, were apprehended on Sept. 2, at Danagundi Quarters, Kano, following a distress call from the victim, Salisu Ibrahim.
Kiyawa said that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects allegedly posed as security personnel to deceitfully obtain the money.
“The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in court upon completion, “he said.
He urged potential crime victims to come forward and assist the police in the investigation.
Kiyawa called on the general public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest Police station.
He said that the Commissioner of Police, Adamu Bakori, commended the swift response of Police operatives and cooperation.
Bakori reiterated the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, combating crime, and upholding justice
