The Kano State Government has announced that the 3rd term vacation for all public and private primary and post-primary schools in the state will commence on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Parents and guardians of boarding school students are requested to pick up their wards by the early hours of that day.
According to a statement by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, Director of Public Enlightenment in the State Ministry of Education, boarding school students are expected to resume on Sunday, September 7, 2025, while day students will resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.
The Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, has called on parents and guardians to ensure their wards comply with the approved resumption dates, warning that disciplinary action will be taken against defaulting students.
He thanked parents and the general public for their cooperation and wished the students a successful and safe holiday.
