The Kano State Government has directed all primary and post-primary schools to observe the Edil-Kabir break on the following dates:
– Boarding students: June 4-15, 2025
– Day students: June 4-16, 2025
Alternatively:
– “Kano Schools Get Edil-Kabir Break Dates”
– “Kano Govt Announces Edil-Kabir Holiday for Schools”
Parents and guardians of boarding students are advised to collect their children by early morning on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, as schools will be closing for the Edil-Kabir break.
All other aspects of the 2024/2025 academic calendar, including public holidays, remain unchanged.
It quoted the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda urging parents and guardians to ensure that their children comply with the resumption date and thanked them for the usual support and cooperation given to the ministry.
” I want to use this opportunity to appreciate the usual support and cooperation given to the Ministry by the good people of the state and also wish the students and pupils for a successful Sallah Break ” the statement added
