A devastating accident in Kura Local Government Area of Kano State has claimed the lives of at least 20 members of the Kano State contingent who were returning from the National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning when their vehicle fell off a bridge.
The victims include athletes, journalists, medical personnel, administrators, and the driver.
Kano State had participated in the festival, winning 29 medals.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement.
