Gov.Yusuf vows to end unauthorized salary deductions

Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has pledged to eliminate unauthorized salary deductions affecting civil servants.
This is contained in a statement issued by his pokesperson Sunusi DawakinTofa in Kano onMonday.
The report, presented by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, aimed to uncover irregularities in salary payments and ensure transparency.
Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to upholding workers’ rights, stressing timely and complete salary payments as a top priority.
He commended the investigative committee for its thorough work and vowed to implement its recommendations.
Governor Yusuf plans to introduce a pay parade system across all ministries to accurately verify civil servants’ numbers and earnings.
He expressed concerns over discrepancies caused by consulting firms engaged by the previous administration and promised to rectify the situation.
” We will establish a high-powered committee to oversee the implementation of the paper rate system and ensure transparency in salary payments.
“Additionally, deductions linked to the National Housing Fund and other schemes will be thoroughly examined,” he added.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s unwavering support for civil servants and extended gratitude to the investigative committee for its dedication in uncovering the irregularities.
