Kiru Tahfeezul Qur’an Secondary School Achieves Milestone, Graduates 1,643 Qur’anic Memorizers

Kiru Tahfeezul Qur’an Secondary School has made history by graduating 1,643 students who have memorized the Holy Qur’an. The graduation ceremony, held at the school’s conference hall on Sunday, February 9, 2025, celebrated the achievements of students who completed their studies between 2019 and 2024.
Kano State Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, congratulated the graduates, describing their achievement as a blessing from Almighty Allah.
He praised Kiru Tahfeezul Qur’an as one of the best schools in the state, propagating Qur’anic and Islamic education.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Bashir Baffa Muhammad, Dr. Makoda announced that the Kano State Government, under the administration of Alhaji Abba Yusuf, is committed to renovating the school to provide a conducive learning environment.
A team of engineers has been sent to assess the school’s needs and prepare a bill of quantity for the renovation project.
Dr. Makoda reaffirmed the commitment of the present administration to education by introducing new initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and providing a conducive learning environment.
He urged the graduates to be good ambassadors of the school and make the best use of what they had learnt.
The school’s director, Alhaji Mamuda Abdullahi, revealed that many graduates have become prominent figures within and outside the state. Currently, the school has 1,400 students from the 44 local government areas of Kano State and other areas.
The graduation ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including the Chairman of Kiru Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdullahi Sa’idu Kafin Maiyaki, and the Executive Secretary, Alhaji Rabiu Saleh Gwarzo.
The event showcased the school’s commitment to providing quality Islamic education and the state government’s efforts to support education in Kano State.
