YUSUF RALLIES KANO FOR TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION, URGES SUPPORT FOR APC IN 2027

Kano – September 5, 2026 – The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has called on residents of the state, particularly APC members and support groups, to mobilise for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Director General, Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Saturday.

Yusuf made the call while receiving members of the Tinubu Support Group, led by its Coordinator, James Faleke, who visited Kano as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The governor expressed appreciation to Faleke, parliamentarians and members of the organising committee for their commitment to strengthening the APC and mobilising support for Tinubu across the country.

He assured the gathering that Kano State would continue to play a leading role in supporting the President’s re-election bid, alongside APC candidates contesting for seats in the National Assembly and other elective positions.

Yusuf also called on youths, political support groups and citizens committed to the progress of Kano State and Nigeria to remain committed to democratic participation and to vote massively in the 2027 elections.

He said the people of Kano would continue to support policies and programmes aimed at strengthening democracy and delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians.

The governor further urged APC supporters to remain united, organised and focused, stressing that victory in 2027 would require sustained grassroots mobilisation and collective commitment.
