Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the loss of the mothers of two distinguished individuals: Jeremiah Enemona Ochema, a renowned reporter with AIT in Kano, and Prof. Mainasara Kurfi, a respected academic at Bayero University, Kano (BUK) ¹.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf extended his sympathies to the families of the deceased, praising their mothers for raising exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to their respective fields.
Governor Yusuf acknowledged the vital role journalists and academics play in shaping society, reaffirming his commitment to supporting these pillars of development in Kano State. He prayed for God to grant the departed souls eternal rest and their families the strength to bear the loss.
