Kano State Governor Launches 10 CNG Buses Donated by Federal Government to NLC

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has handed over 10 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Kano State Chapter. The buses were donated by the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removals ¹.
Governor Yusuf commended the NLC for its efforts to enhance the well-being of Nigerian workers. He noted that his administration is worker-friendly, having approved and implemented the new minimum wage and settled gratuities and pensions for retirees.
The NLC president, Joe Ajero, welcomed the launch of the 10 new CNG buses, stating that they would help reduce transportation costs for workers and the general populace. He also applauded the Kano State Government for prompt payment of salaries and implementation of the new minimum wage.
The Federal Government’s donation of CNG buses is part of its initiative to promote cleaner energy and reduce transportation costs. The government plans to distribute over 500 CNG buses and 100 electric vehicles nationwide ¹.
