Kano Govt. plans to establish libraries in all 44 LGAs

Kano, The Kano State Government has announced plans to establish public libraries in all 44 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to revive the culture of reading and research among students and researchers.
The Acting Executive Secretary of the Kano State Library Board, Malam Suleiman Hodi, disclosed this after a tour of existing public libraries in 23 LGAs on Thursday.
The aim is to enhance the learning process and improve education standards in the state.
This project will indeed revive reading culture among our students.
“It will also help our researchers to conduct research and our youths would learn how to research.
In fact, the overall benefits of this project is to further enhance the quality of education in our dear state.
“Kano state government, under the able leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is ready to support any initiative and moves towards education development in the state,” he said.
The board will submit a report to the Ministry of Education to explore the possibility of establishing libraries in all 44 LGAs, with the support of Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration.
This initiative aims to promote education development and provide a bright future for youths in Kano State.
