The Kano State Government has pledged to complete the abandoned 5km road projects across the 44 LGAs, which were initiated by former Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso but left uncompleted by the previous administration.
Gov Abba Yusuf made this known shortly after meeting with contractors handling the projects at Government House on Thursday.
Yusuf directed Immediate mobilization of contractors back to sites within one week and resolution of pending compensation issues.
He also directed the immediately release of 30% advance payment released to contractors and review of costs due to escalation in construction material prices as well as strategic monthly payments to contractors to prevent stagnation.
