KNSG Invests N4.8 bn in School Renovation, Additional Classrooms, and Security

Kano, The Kano State government has released N1.9 billion for the renovation of primary school classrooms across all 44 local government areas, with an additional N2.925 billion allocated for the construction of new classrooms.
To ensure the safety of students and school infrastructure, the government has employed 17,600 security guards, with 400 allocated to each local government area.
Governor Yusuf emphasized the importance of investing in education, stating that it is crucial for ensuring access to quality education for all school-age children in Kano.
He urged the Community Re-orientation Committee (CRC) chairmen to collaborate with stakeholders and seek technical support from the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for project implementation.
The Governor also mandated that all new classroom blocks bear the inscription “Kwankwasiyya/Gida-Gida” in tribute to Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s contributions to public education in Kano.
He emphasized the critical role of education in building a flourishing society and pledged to address the need for repairs and renovations in schools to create a safe and conducive learning environment.
