The Hadejia Jamaare River Basin Development Authority, H-JRBDA has launched a bottle water producing factory in Kano state.

The factory, sited at the premises of the H-JRBDA headquarters in Kano, was commissioned by the Minister of of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsav on Tuesday.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Minister noted that the factory is timely as it is part of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to him, the key mandate of the ministry is to provide safe and portable water to Nigerians.

Utsav the table water factory established by the H-JRBDA is in tandem with the mandate of the ministry towards partial commercialization of the river basin and production of safe and portable water.

“Key mandate of the ministry is to provide safe, and portable water in the country. Hands are on deck to achieve this feat.

” To commission a water bottling company by Hadejia Jamaare. Partial commercialization of the river basin and secondly to provide safe and portable water for Nigerians, that is why the facility has been established,” he said.

The Minister noted that the Kano citizens and Nigerians would benefit from the factory as It will also create jobs for youth and enhance the economy of the country.

He thanked the MD Hadejia Jamaare for what he described as wonderful initiative.

In his remarks, Managing Director of H-JRBDA, Ma’amun Da’u Aliyu disclosed that the agency had spend N40 million foe the establishment of the factory.

According to him, the production capacity of the factory is 22,000 litres per day, assuring that it would generate revenue for the government and employment for the youths.

Aliyu noted that the factory is to compliment the present administration ‘s resolve to providing safe and portable water as well as sanity to Nigerians.
