Kano Mosque Attack: Yusuf vows justice for victims

Kano, Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf, of Kano State has promised to ensure justice for the victims of the recent mosque attack in Gadan village, Gezawa Local Government Area of the state.

The attack, which claimed 15 lives, was carried out by Shafi’u Abubakar over a family dispute related to inheritance sharing.

Yusuf spoke when he visited the victims at Murtala Specialist Hospital Kano on Monday.

Gov.Yusuf condemned the attack and vowed that the suspect would not go unpunished.

He stated that the state government and security agencies would pursue the matter to its logical conclusion, ensuring justice for the victims.

The Governor clarified that the incident was not related to terrorism or political violence, but rather a case of a family dispute that escalated into violence.

He emphasized that the suspect would face the full wrath of the law and be charged in a Shariah court.

If found guilty and convicted, the Yusuf pledged to sign the suspect’s death warrant, upholding the law’s provisions on murder cases.
