Kano housing transformation earns national recognition as KSHC MD re-elected AHCN VP

Calabar – July 4, 2026 – The Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation, KSHC, Abdullahi Rabiu, has been re-elected Vice President of the Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria, AHCN, for a second term.
Rabiu was re-elected during the association’s 49th Annual General Meeting held in Calabar, Cross River State.
The re-election reflects growing national recognition of Kano State’s commitment to housing development and infrastructure renewal under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the association said.
According to AHCN, Kano’s strides in expanding access to affordable housing, revitalising housing infrastructure, and implementing policies to improve residents’ living standards have positioned the state among the leaders in the nation’s housing sector.
In a telephone interview after the meeting, Rabiu said the AGM, sponsored by the Cross River State Property Development and Investment Limited, CROSPIL, deliberated on “Affordable Housing Solutions for Low Income Earners in Emerging Real Estate Market.”
He expressed gratitude to members of the association for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work with the executive to advance the association’s objectives, promote innovation, and strengthen collaboration among housing corporations nationwide.
Rabiu dedicated the honour to the government and people of Kano State, noting that it was made possible through the governor’s support for the housing sector. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering sustainable, affordable, and quality housing projects in the state.
