Deputy Senate President, Dr. Barau I. Jubrin, has launched 107 brand new buses for Kano North Transport Service, aiming to ease transportation challenges in the senatorial district and across Kano state. As the representative of Kano North in the Upper Chamber, Senator Jubrin single-handedly purchased the buses, making them available to beneficiaries at a highly subsidized rate through a hire-purchase scheme.
The direct beneficiaries are members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) across all Local Government Areas in Kano North. The launch, held at the new Bichi Stadium, drew a massive crowd praising Senator Jubrin’s generosity.
An NURTW official, Malam Rabi’u Bichi, described the gesture as unprecedented, saying, “Senator Jubrin has made us proud. His empowerment programs always positively impact the masses. Many families will benefit directly from this initiative, and it will significantly ease transportation challenges in Kano North and the entire state.”
The official praised Senator Jubrin’s commitment to empowering people in Kano and beyond, hoping that other politicians will follow his lead.
This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the transportation sector in Kano state, providing relief to commuters and boosting economic activities.
